The overall sales of major non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces decreased by -10% last week. Nifty Gateway recorded a -52% decrease in sales and a -64% decrease in the number of transactions.
The NFT Hub launched on FT.com yesterday. This collaboration between Crypto.com and the Commercial Department of the Financial Times offers in-depth insights into the NFT market.
Malicious actors are targeting NFT communities on Discord. Animoca Brands is compensating victims for their loss in a fraudulent NFT sale on the Phantom Galaxies Discord; the incident was orchestrated by hackers on 26 November.
The metaverses have recently recorded big sales activities in virtual lands. A plot of Genesis Land was sold for $2.5M on Axie Infinity last week. Just before last week, Metaverse Group purchased a real estate property on Decentraland for $2.4M; the group plans to use the newly bought asset to host fashion shows.
