Crypto.com NFT Weekly Update (Week 51, 22/12/2021 - 28/12/2021)
Bored Ape Yacht Club #BAYC flipped CryptoPunks in terms of floor price. OpenDAO airdropped SOS tokens to selected OpenSea users on Christmas Eve.
Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has flipped CryptoPunks in terms of floor price. This is significant because BAYC NFTs are much newer to the market than CryptoPunks. BAYC launched in April 2021 and CryptoPunks, in 2017.
On Christmas Eve, OpenDAO airdropped the SOS token to people who have spent money on OpenSea transactions. The project isn't affiliated with OpenSea, but almost 200,000 wallets have claimed SOS tokens and the contract has a market cap of over USD 200 million.
OpenSea recorded a -27% decrease in sales and a -8% decrease in transactions. MakerPlace recorded a -65% decrease in sales and a -32% decrease in transactions.
